U.S. Senator Estes Kefauver represented the State of Tennessee at the Tennessee Honor Day ceremony at the Plaza of the States at the Seattle World's Fair on September 1, 1962. Here host Governor Albert D. Rosellini is presenting the Senator with a set of the World's Fair Trade Dollars. The 2 star general in the middle is unidentified, but he's wearing a "badge" that says he's from Tennessee.

Lined up in the front row of the honored guests stage, the General joined Senator and former vice presidential candidate Kefauver, Governor Rosellini, and U.S. Senator and future vice president and presidential candidate Hubert H. Humphrey of Minnesota. They appear to laughing at something Master of Ceremonies and Plaza Chief Jack Gordon was saying. Humphrey was in Seattle for the Salute to American Labor ceremony held two days later on September 3.
