From the Seattle Post-Intelligencer

A nuptial mass May 1 in St. Mary's Church united in marriage Miss Roberta May Walsh, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Patrick Walsh, and Mr. John Francis Gordon, son of Mr. and Mrs. James S. Gordon.

The bride wore a gown of white slipper satin with a cathedral-length train. Her fingertip-length veil was caught to a tiara of seed pearls and she carried white roses and a white orchid fastened to an open prayer book.

Miss Irene Walsh was her sister's maid of honor and bridesmaids were the Misses Bettie Walsh, youngest sister of the bride, and Jeanne Marie Eschbach. The bride's niece, Miss Carole Smith, was flower girl. All bridal attendants were gowned alike in pastel blue satin.

Mr. James Gordon was his brother's best man and ushers were Messrs. Larry Dion, Victor L. Sack and Jack Sullivan.

A wedding breakfast was served at the Walsh home and an evening reception took place in the Knights of Columbus clubrooms.

The bride is a graduate of Seattle College and Mr. Gordon, a navy veteran, also attended Seattle College. After a wedding trip to Canada, the couple are making their home in Seattle.
