Jack Gordon on the typewriter. Jack edited "The Sky-Writer" at Pasco NAS for several years before being transferred to Swan Island, just outside of Portland, Oregon, on the Columbia River. That's Jack with his back to us and his fingers on the keyboard. (Or as they said back then, the "typewriter".) The sailor to his right has been tentatively identified as Jack Sullivan.
